My research involves examining motivation for change and change-expectancies in relation to psychotherapy outcomes for anxiety disorders.
My colleagues and I are also investigating a version of Motivational Interviewing (Miller & Rollnick, 2002), adapted for anxiety, as an adjunct to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
In addition to psychotherapy outcome, I am also interested in predictors of engagement with psychotherapy, therapeutic demand characteristics, and processes influencing compliance with treatment procedures
